A successful book trailer will convey the hard-boiled and thrilling atmosphere and tone of the book while also communicating key plot points and/or introducing key characters. The winning book trailer will intrigue potential readers by bringing to life the content and tone of the book with polish, sophistication, and creativity. Entries can employ live action, animation, or even a text-driven approach. Trailers may focus on key plot points or use excerpts from the book on-screen.

The following features should appear in all entries: book cover, book title, and author name. Beyond that, we encourage you to use your imagination.

Summary of Key Contest Rules

Your entry must be a book trailer based on the novel Murder by Moonlight by Vincent Zandri, a synopsis for which is available on the Murder by Moonlight project page.
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you reside).
Your book trailer must complete its upload and processing by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on the last day of the contest entry period. This could take hours, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
Only book trailers between 30 and 90 seconds long are eligible for contest awards.
