Are Dialog Track Contests still being done? Considered?

@Race - I am working on my test movie though there is no open competition for test movies any more... probably we can work together if you are interested to provide voice over...

Race, if you have all those resources then find or create something for them to do. Don't wait for an opportunity, MAKE ONE.

Well, i have a the recording miss and mixer and software and actors but nothing for them to do at the moment. Rats.

Dialogue tracks were a first step towards test movies. Without test movies, there's no need for dialogue tracks.

On the other hand, I think that doing a table read is a good tool for revising a script.

It doesn't seem like there's any point to it, if there are no more test movies other than the ones that Amazon commissions. Though if they decide to commission an animated test movie down the road, it might be interesting to have a dialogue track competition tied to that...

Did Amazon switch to just the paid assignments? Will there be more contests for dialog tracks?

Are contests still being done? or Is it all just Paid assignments from now?

Sort of hard to gear up and produce a dialog track if there is no clear route.
