It's funny when you're hooked on a tv show it feels like it's because you always want to know what happens next, but at the end of the day there are only so many twists and turns a plot can take (has any sitcom made it more than two years without a surprise pregnancy?)--really what you keep coming back for is the characters. This screenplay, with it's quirkily endearing characters definitely makes me want another episode pronto!

Also I like the idea that an eclectically horrible group of daters could have the perfect pool of expertise for a match making company. My prediction is that this agency (probably after some fun false starts) will end up having an odd knack for bringing people together. What is the company's name going to be?

Thanks for the great comments! I thought "Make Me a Match," the title of the show, could also be the name of the matchmaking agency. (M3 for short.) But I'd love to hear suggestions for both the name and the characters/series. Part of the reason I came up with the idea is that I've never met someone who didn't have at least one hilarious (or horrifying ... or both) dating story. I like the idea of collecting these stories and making a show about them.

I can totally relate to this script. My friends and I have had our fair share of hilarious/horrifying date nights. One of my friends went on a date with this awful guy who talked about himself (and the steak he was eating) more than he talked to her. Then he drives her home (slightly under the influence) and claims he can't see well in the dark. Plus it was raining. I would walk home rather than drive with that lunatic.

Anyone else have an epic tale of a bad date?
