C and D says:
so amazon wants feedback on the dev/consid comedy series, mr. bitter is happy to oblige...
magic monkey…… the best of the lot, by far – always appreciate clever story bits, like rabbit getting his daily news when they change the lining of his cage – and the well-defined rules of the universe – nice work chick writer
100 deaths…… for adult swim crowd – needs work on story and character - one word solution – purgatory – a more logical location for the hero, solves some of the grimier issues with how he got there – think of it as the neutral ground between heaven and hell where humans who aren’t ready for either are employed – uh, you’re welcome
doomsday…… strike one, written by a brit - smiley face - ; strike two, mockumentary - frowns to the camera; strike three, by the time this comes out we’ll either all be dead or the mayan apocalypse will have passed and the concept no longer works – it’d be like releasing a show about prepping for y2k in 200x; so, this series is out – that’s a baseball analogy, for the foreigners reading this - go america
hurd/ zea…… really amazon, two zombie workplace comedies, couldn’t decide which one would make a better funny or die sketch – question mark exclamation point – get clive to rewrite both
behind the…… I stopped reading after the first slug and descrip –
“INT. SHANNON’S APARTMENT - BEDROOM – EARLY MORNING
We are inside Shannon’s bedroom.”
--- on the consider list for concept only – the mini-bible is one page – I believe it starts with ‘this is the mini-bible’
imagination.../ us – these feel similar – both capture ‘youth’ dialogue well enough – us is better written and sharper, but imagination has the fresher main characters - i lumped them together because i’m lazy
missed connections…... a decent premise, but too many ideas – it’s about a coffee shop, no it’s an update to ally mcbeal, uh, it’s a romcom slash procedural but without criminals – just make it about a detective agency that specializes in lost loves and their stalkers, uh, true loves and, move everyone into the office – again, you’re welcome
