I should have explained going home early from their winter homes down in the Tampa area. Got an aunt and uncle winter just south of there.
James:
Are you kidding? Chicago had it's warmest March in history. The old folks are moving back north from down here to get out of the heat and humidity. Right now Michigan sounds pretty good to me.
"At least it's not Detroit" No kidding. I was in Tampa a month ago, and Florida wins hands down. March is a crummy time to be in Michigan.

What a deal! The AAFF runs through Sunday night, awards night. Highly recommended.

Yeah, the Michigan Theater. And there's a terrific Indian restaurant about 500 feet from it.
And Ann Arbor also has several excellent Indian restaurants.
I assume the festival will be using the classic downtown movie palace?
I got to watch The Big Chill there a few years back, with Lawrence Kasdan in attendance. The place was packed.
And for those of you on a budget, The 50th Annual Ann Arbor Film Festival opened today. $95 for the whole series, $55 for the weekend, $10 per screening. I don't know how many Euros that is. I just know it's a good deal. It has premiered works by Andy Warhol, Haskell Wexler and George Lucas (THX1138).
We don't have a topless beach, but there are a couple of interesting clubs within a short driving distance.
There were numerous posts on the VP thing, such as:

I use Google alerts:

I've got a Google news feed set up for "amazon studios." Some news sites lit up when the VP guy posted his title on LinkedIn and then changed it a few hours later.
And yes, I sometimes read the AS blog.

There's that new VP guy who set the blogs on fire when he said was going to be doing TV programming... And Roy, and other folks...

Unless they're trying to sell something definite, which means they'll have to say what they're producing and when it will be released.
Well, that or just a nice week away.
Are any of the AS execs making appearances there or elsewhere? The only place I know they've been is Comicon last year...
