This flicks a cult classic!!!!! Very impressed on the time, taken and great one liners. Live a little, let your hair down. Good story line, we would pay $10 to see it at the cinema.
It is eligible now. The authors had their movie up on youtube and other sites as they didn't know that it's not allowed in the rules for this contest.
It's a good film, and has a heart and soul that most test films lack.
It should place in the finals at least for October.
Though they should lob up a script.
Ya know, if I can remember correctly, there's been several test movies that have advanced in the contest that didn't have a script at first, or ever...
"12 Princesses" (If I remember) didn't have a script attached, but it does have one now. "Rurik" didn't have one either. And the worst test movie on the site, "Alone" (a semifinalist) still doesn't have one.
Now, don't get me wrong, "Neato" would benefit from having a script posted, but it shouldn't be a problem, especially if there's a semifinalist that never uploaded the script.
The 12 Princesses project page says the script and the movie were both uploaded on 6/28/11.
The interesting thing about 12 Princesses is that 4,248 people have checked out at least some of the movie, which shows the benefit of having a test movie for your project - but the script has only been downloaded 62 times. Take away from that what you will.
well, i just looked over the rules and it seems like a test movie doesn't need a script uploaded afterall. maybe they changed it or maybe it's b/c i hadn't really checked before and just assumed. i haven't been around that long to really know.
Sequential Art has no script and i doubt the script would ever get much attention. so it's probably smart that they didn't upload it. no offense to the writer but...
btw - Rurik - does have a script attached but it's not uploaded as a separate project. so -- adding to the confusion -- you can download the script via the test movie page only.
Because it's not already a CBS series like Memory is.
:-p
