I just finished writing a polished first act for ITMFFIS. The reason I actually wrote it out is that when I write based on an outline the story changes. The characters never want to exactly what I want them to do and the their actions actually matter to me. Writing out a good first act works better for me in accurately setting up the story; act two and act three flow flows from act one after all.

I'm posting this because now that I've written Act One I want to submit it with my treatment and other required submissions. Of course I'm going to take the time to polish a treatment and the rest but I have A FREAKING FUN FIRST ACT and I think Amazon should see it. I think reading it could serve to give additional perspective in their selection process even if it ultimately isn't the angle they want to go with.

I know this sounds kind of noobish but it is common practice for perspective writers to offer a bit of an actual script to help seal the deal. This wouldn't require more time for the selection staff; the quality of the writing should quickly be apparent.

Does anyone know should be contacted about this?

Thanks much.

That's why they want you to picth your changes and what you will do to the script, if they like what you offer, they might ask you to give them an example of the script that you have(a first draft) and then considered, at least I don't think that Amazon will read a script with only the first act, you can show it to many other screenwriters if you want but is better to finish the script first as you might be changing parts from the first act as you finish it.

Thanks Guillermo. I was kind of looking for feedback from them or something who knows someone I can contact about it. I understand why they want what they want and I intend to give them that but I can ALSO give them a great first act.

Much success to you Guillermo.
