Synopsis: Lilith, the alleged wife of Adam in ancient Jewish lore or “the demonic goddess of the night” as some called her, returns to wreak havoc on the life of a young southern boy named Emberly Stiles, a cub reporter who aspires to write the great American novel. This is a paranormal work in which time is never certain. A beautiful vamp, Annette Minor, captivates the young journalist, who can never be certain who or what she is until they attend a secret society meeting where witchcraft and sorcery presses him in the kinds of sexual debauchery that Emberly struggles to break away from after finding his true love in the southern “trophy” Lynn Watterson. He proposes marriage to her, something Annette cannot accept. The journalist hopes to get a story out of the “debauchery” but the “Biblical cougar” uses lurid sex to keep him under her spell. Her lover discovers his intent and falsely has him arrested only to later drop the charges. Emberly turns the tables as Annette mysteriously returns into his life and, in another form, after she dies as a result of a murder suicide pact. Lynn and Emberly later cross paths in the late 1960’s and 70’s after Jerry Farwell brings Larry Flint to trial for malicious slander. In the end Emberly will marry his lost love, Lynn, and intervene to keep Lynn’s daughter (now his step-daughter Cynthia Lynn, from Lynn’s first marriage) on the “straight and narrow” after she finds out about Emberly and Annette’s sordid past. It is time for redemption and Emberly embraces it as does his step-daughter.
