Synopsis: A strange man walks into a diner and invites himself to sit and have breakfast with the only other customer in the building. The man casually reveals himself to be a hit man and begins to tell the customer about a job he has been working on since yesterday.

Early yesterday morning. The Hit Man wakes up to a phone call from his boss Leo. He is given a job. Kill three men, Tony, Sam and Dom. Through out the day he disguises himself in multiple costumes, and kills all that get in his way. He manages to execute Tony and Sam but not Dom.

He ends his story by telling the customer that his search for Dom has lead him to the very restaurant they are in. At that moment Dom enters. The Hit Man kills him and casually walks out. The Hit Man returns to his apartment, but before he can relax, men in black suits attack. The Hit Man fights back but is shot and blacks out. He wakes in a hospital bed. At his side is his Neighbor. The Neighbor tells the Hit Man that a mob syndicate called the Collectors, led by a man named Vince, tried to kill him, but he does not know why. The Neighbor then begins to tell the Hit Man about how he saved his life yesterday.

While the Hit Man is unconscious, the Neighbor takes out the collectors with ease. The Hit Man's boss, Leo, aids the two wanted men by directing them to a safe house. Once there the Neighbor calls a woman named Nora for help. The call is cut short when collectors show up. The Neighbor fights his way through and escapes with the Hit Man. They end up in an abandoned church where a sniper attacks them. The sniper turns out to be an old friend of the Neighbor and recognizes him as a former member of the collectors. The Neighbor explains to the sniper that he was betrayed and cast out because Nora choose to love him over Vince. The Neighbor calls for an ambulance to pick up the Hit Man and leaves. Later that night he meets with Nora and the two attempt to leave the city, but Nora is killed as they try to escape.

The Neighbor and the Hit Man leave the hospital and go there separate ways. The Neighbors past debt to the Hit Man is now paid. The Hit Man visits Leo, believing that he must have set him up from the start. Leo denies but admits that the leader of the collectors, Vince, is his boss. Vince soon arrives. Leo hides the Hit Man. Vince reveals that he knew all along that the Hit Man worked for Leo since he had his phone tapped long ago. Vince also knew that it was the Hit Man who killed Dom, the son Nora and him had together.

The Hit Man raids the collectors headquarters with the help of the Neighbor. Only the Hit Man makes it out alive. He is arrested and put in prison where he continues to tell stories of his life, imagining as if they only happened yesterday.
