Full synopsis
Synopsis: In one of the worst run high schools ever conceived, a nerdy teenager by the name of Ormsby is tossed into the detention hall with a group of misfit youths. These students consist of the resident school jock who constantly tries to hide his alternative lifestyle, the wise guy dirtbag who wants to buck the system at every turn, the goth girl who speaks in low guttural growls and the head cheerleader who has slept with everyone from the entire football team to the school board and with whom Ormsby is secretly in love. While the school principal is oblivious to all that goes on around him, the hardcore assistant principal takes the reigns. After the group takes a disastrous trip to the school cafeteria, complete with exploding microwave, one of the students, the goth girl Cat, dies in the nurse's office. Unbeknownst to the staff, she reawakens with a thirst for human flesh. She makes her way back down to the detention hall only to be scolded for wandering in late by the clueless teachers who are assigned this loathsome duty. All hell breaks loose as Cat begins to chomp down on those that have made her life miserable. Ormsby, his unrequited love Barb and the film teacher Mr. Russo, who lives his life as if he were in a movie and deals with situations as only a fictitious character would, escape in the hopes of warning others. As they make their way through the school they are constantly thwarted by a principal who thinks that the students have always been zombies, an assistant principal who would rather dish out punishment than deal with the true problem at hand, a custodian who feels the love for his mop Lucille is as natural as anything, and a zombie horde who continue to follow the bell schedule as they shamble from class to class. Realizing they must take the situation into their own hands they arm themselves and begin a bloody slaughter of the undead, with more then a few missteps along the way. Ultimately they make the decision that will end the carnage and bring the entire school down on top of the throngs of students who have all been turned by now. Only the assistant principal, who feels nobody should get the upper hand on him and is willing to kill everyone, living or dead, stands in their way.
