Tweenagers is loosely based on my cousin and his group of friends in Brooklyn. I visited New York a few times in the summer when I was a kid. I'm from the south, and was amazed at how well my cousin and his multicultural group got along. At the time the Hip Hop genre was just taking off, and he and his friends where always trying to emulate the older kids by break dancing and creating rap songs.
Tweenagers follows the adventures of a rag tag group of tweens who live in a Brooklyn high-rise as they navigate their way through adolescence. The cartoon delivers positive messages to the tween demographic such as respecting the rights of others, being an individual, etc.
