SYNOPSIS:
Little six year old Jason Bloom has a school project. He must bring in something "living" into his 1st grade class. He pleads with his mother to let him dig for a spider by the school playground. Rose Bloom, his mother, is hesitant, because it's near dark -- she's afraid for him to be out so late.
But she relents, and Jason runs off happily, pail and shovel in hand. He digs. Suddenly, a man appears behind him with the words, "Whatcha doin' little boy?" Jason recognizes him. The man tells Jason that the "good" spiders are in the nearby woods. Jason runs into the woods. The man loosens his belt as he follows. We hear Jason's frightened cry, "Please don't hurt me, Mister."

Flash forward 35 years. Jason Bloom is a handsome grown man of 40, although he's deeply tortured by a sexual molestation that occurred when he was a little boy. He has two personalities. There's the OUT OF CONTROL Jason and the "good little boy," Jason. As a grown man with the morality and sensibilities of a little boy, he drinks too much, drugs too much, he starts fist fights with stangers, and has unsafe sex. His life is out of control. Yet when he is around his family -- his mother, his sister, and his nieces -- he's still a "good little boy," sweet and gentle and kind, not at all like the man who who drunkedly falls aleep on the floor, and laughs at silly cartoons on TV as he drinks from a liquor bottle.

Many things happen to this victim of a man/boy. He unknowingly falls under the spell of a murdering cult as he spins further from reality. He falls in love. Then there's that fateful night, and the frightening storm….and the nightmare. He's all alone, and the thunder and lightening have knocked out all the power. No one can reach him. The NIGHTMARE is becoming real. He is a frightened little boy, all alone in a storm...all alone in the woods. He curls up into a ball and cries, "Please don't hurt me, Mister."

The storm ends, and Jason Bloom knows what he must do. He retrieves a gun he's hidden in his closet and sets out to finally rid himself of the sexual demon haunting him his entire life. With six "blasts" of his gun, and six dead bodies, the words, "Whatcha doing, little boy?" are finally avenged. The man in the woods is no more.

His psychiatrist, Sidney Kelton, is faced with the truth and the dilemma, "What should we do with Jason?" Paradoxically, Jason Bloom is finally allowed to grow up, and yes, Rose Bloom is so proud of her son.

"Whatcha doin' little boy?" will take you down the path of cultism, a split-personality, love, murder, and, finally, redemption.

    Creative Notes:
This fascinating psychological thriller came to me when a friend mntioned that her brother was a racetrack-going, drug-sniffing, money-borrowing waste. She went on to say, "He was molested as a little boy, and never grew up." A lightbulb glowed over my head.
