Synopsis: An outer space consortium, gathered for a plenipotentiary meeting deep within the moon, plots to guarantee that Earth remain in its comparatively undeveloped state during an upcoming Harmonic Convergence in the Cosmos. They wish to continue using the planet as a precious metal storage facility and a human meat producing farm for intergalactic gourmets. This has been, heretofore, allowed because earthlings have not yet risen to any sort of cosmic consciousness. However, their control would be lost if, by some fluke, humans woke up to the fact that they are not alone in the universe. This leads to an elaborate dumbing-down scheme involving a homeless planet-seeking population of Sirians, who have been lured to invade Earth for settlement with Consortium approval.

Yuri Tschevchenko, ex-KGB, ex-Soviet naval officer, now a Hudson River fire boat captain, suspects strange goings-on when sonic booms rock New York City, followed by two mysterious warehouse fires. At a ballgame, he spots hundreds of fans whose faces resemble famous people. He knows something is weird when he feels a presence enter his body, causing him to look and act like John Wayne. Putting clues together, his friends and family become convinced that the city is under siege by aliens, trying to co-exist in thousands of human bodies, hoping to become permanent occupants when those individuals reproduce. The Sirians obtained their human forms from television signals that have been coursing into outer space since the 1950's. They prove to be a slow-thinking pig-like creature and are actually being tricked by the Consortium for its own selfish ends.

Authorities laugh at the Russian's claims of invasion. With the help of psychics recruited by the little band of Russians, some very funny maneuvers, involving the complete history of bacon, are attempted. Yuri happens to be occupied by Guzbub, the leader of the invading expedition and can read his thoughts; though the Sirian cannot comprehend any thinking done in Russian, having only prepared for the language of the target city.

How do these unlikely heroes save the earth from a horrible fate? How do they enable Earth to catch the upward impulse of the Harmonic Convergence and escape from the dastardly butchers of the Consortium? How do they solve the woeful economic problems of their home country? It is all heroically accomplished with the water hoses of five fire boats.

Though this is a sequel to EXTRA ORDINARY, it can easily stand alone.

    Creative Notes:
This is a sequel to EXTRA ORDINARY, whose characters write a script set in NY city. It's a lighthearted take on alien invasion with plenty of action and a psychological way of repelling the fairly dumb invaders. It's also a spoof aimed at earth's current meat-processing industry. A serious romp into the alien invasion genre.
