  • Mini-bible 3 - 2nd Draft - Clarified Direction

    Creative Notes:
    Rewrote the "Fundamentals of the Show" Section using clearer language to put the show's style of "Serious Characters in Awkward Situations" into better perspective.

    Among the changes is a reference to Family Guy's Non Sequitur Cut-always. Sight-gags in Starship Enlisted are only off-limits when they have no impact on the story.
    Concept:
    When new crewmembers arrive, the Special Maintenance Unit tries to break the ship's "Curse" of never getting through time in Space Dock without having a major accident that scares off the good ones.

  • Pilot Script 4 - 2nd Full Draft

    Creative Notes:
    Revised much of the dialogue, especially character voices. Example: made Fix sound more folksy.

    Rearranged the scenes for a better flow. Added a sequence Below Decks for a sharper contrast of Officers vs. Enlisted and replaced the scene in Engineering with a funnier scene in the Kitchen so you can see how the sausage gets made aboard a Starship.

    Removed the "TV-14" rating indicator. It was unnecessary. Reformatted it a little to remove orphans on page 5 to make the pages look better.

    Removed mention of Cochrane in the Jump Pad room before the accident.
