Synopsis: On September 11, 2001, the Federal Aviation Administration ordered a total shutdown of US airspace for the first time in history. In 90 minutes, the airspace was emptied, at the rate of 3,300 aircraft per hour.

But that was in daylight, in good weather, and with functioning navigational aids.

What if they had to do it happened again – at night, during a blizzard, and without reliable navigation?

When a rogue "Star Wars" satellite attacks the GPS navigation network, the head of the FAA races the clock to land thousands of planes before they run out of fuel -- while the Space Shuttle crew risks everything to overcome the weapon's lethal defenses.
