Synopsis: When his father is arrested for political corruption, young Oscar Zoroaster Diggs runs away and joins the circus. There he grows up to become a renowned ventriloquist and ariel balloonist, but at the height of his career a sudden freak storm wisks him and his ventriloquist dummy Walnut away to the Land of Oz. Upon his arrival Oscar is hailed as a mighty wizard, but he soon runs afoul of the Wicked Witch of the West, who with her army of Winged Monkeys dog his every step as he sets about the building of the Emerald City. Time after time Oscar thwarts the Witch's evil plots against him, using nothing more then his common sense and a little circus trickery. Frustrated by her repeated failures to destroy this upstart, would-be magician, the Wicked Witch of the West joins forces with her sister the Wicked Witch of the East, and together they conjure up a gigantic, wizard-eating monster. Now Oscar must face both wicked witches in one final battle. If he wins the witches evil strangle hold over the Land of Oz will be broken, but if he loses he will surely wind-up a midnight snack for their monster. Fortunately, Oscar has a secret allie - the Good Witch Glinda.
