Synopsis: AN AUTUMN GLIMPSE

A romantic-drama screenplay inspired by true events. The story begins on December 12, 2010 (Sunday), when Elsa Desoto is invited to Juan’s funeral by his best friend, Toby Law AKA: DJ Dot. Elsa barely remembered Juan because he was a man whom she had dated only once; however, she still went to the funeral home (Funeraria Rivero) to pay her respects. When she arrived, Toby showed her a letter that Juan had written a year ago about the time he spent with her the day they first met and their first date. When she read the six page fairytale chronicle she became flattered by his love for her as she walked up to the coffin and saw his face, and then she wept as Toby described to her what a wonderful man Juan was. Then he went on to tell her how after Juan realized that he had lost her, he began to drink heavily and it caused him the motorcycle accident that claimed his life.
Now the story goes back to the past as she began to remember how they met and then the story takes off from there: On November 19th, 2009 (Thursday), Elsa is lying soundly asleep on her bed when she wakes up very nervously. Then she quickly looks at her wristwatch and sees the date (THU-11/19/09) as her cell phone rings and when she sees the caller ID, it was her girlfriend (Gina). Then she answers the phone and puts it on speakerphone mode and then Gina says: “Hey, weren’t we going to Mysticism tonight?! C’mon, you promised! Remember?!”
Then it jumps to: the early morning (still night) of November 20th, 2009 (Friday), when Juan was in a nightclub called Mysticism; where he fell madly in love with her at first sight: He was an old-school dancer of salsa casino and had many experiences with all types of women, but his dream girl was a wholesome and beautiful longhaired (preferably in a ponytail) redhead with light blue eyes, thin, but with a nice figure. The moment he saw Elsa (with her hair up in a ponytail and a semi-short red dress) he knew she was the one. At first, he just saw her dance with Gina and then she they got up the stage. Juan told Elsa that he liked her hair better in a ponytail because she had her hair loose, so she tied it on a ponytail; just for him. Later that night, she gave him her cell phone number. Two days later, they went on a date to an amusement park called Santa’s Enchanted Forest; where he was too straight forward with his feelings and frightened her. Juan tried for days to conquer her heart, but there was no use. Then he wrote the six page chronicle called “The Lady In Red” detailing their story. After she stopped answering his phone calls and his texts because she had lost her cell phone, he became frustrated and text her; telling her that he would never call her again and that if she was ever interested in knowing exactly what he thought and felt during those two days they spent together, to go onto a website that he put up in the internet. Of course, she never knew about the text because she never recovered her cell phone, so she didn’t give him much though because he never called her again.
Now the story goes back to the evening of November 19th, 2009 (Thursday), when Elsa is lying soundly asleep on her bed and wakes up very nervously. Then she quickly looks at her wristwatch and sees the date (THU-11/19/09) as her cell phone rings and when she sees the caller ID, it was Gina. Then she answers the phone and puts it on speakerphone mode and then Gina says: “Hey, weren’t we going to Mysticism tonight?! C’mon, you promised! Remember?!” Then Elsa realizes that it was a gli1mpse by some unknown higher power and that Juan was still alive, so she smiled warmly as her eyes filled with tears of joy.
