A conceited MLB player and a kid fan who through a freak incident involving consuming a new sports drink and using adjoining hyperbolic chambers, switch bodies and get a real sense of what it is like to walk in the other person’s shoes, or in this case cleats.
Synopsis:It is not easy being a kid today. Both of your parents work and are stressed, your siblings are selfish or obstructive and at school you are bullied. Jake Peterson is a 12 year old kid going through all those struggles and he finds his only solace in playing sports and following his favorite professional teams and players in Phoenix. When Jake wins a sports drink contest to meet and train with his favorite baseball player, Derrick Johnson, his excitement slowly but surely turns to disappointment as he realizes one of his idles is arrogant and conceited.
Before a training session Derrick and Jake try a new sports drink and then use adjoining hyperbolic chambers and through a freak accident switch bodies. In the ensuing commotion and private exchange Jake refuses to switch back with Derrick until that coming weekend. Derrick goes along and through the next several days they independently improve each other’s lives, settling scores with bullies and embracing fans and a Diamondback’s organization and literally walking in each others shoes/cleats.
