Winter Passing
Distraught by the death of his friend, Dominic ventures into the woods to reclaim childhood memories, only to come across a mysterious woman, Celeste. Charming and beautiful, she woos Dominic to unwittingly help carry out her murderous intentions.
Synopsis:
Dominic Patinski is a loner with one friend in the world, Calvin Miller. When Dom discovers Calvin dead, he spins out of control.
On the verge of making a very rash decision, Dom comes across Celeste. She is beautiful and mysterious and secretive. She has a task at hand and Dom decides to help her, while at the same time falling in love with her.
Meanwhile, Sheriff Sarah Lahnagan is tasked with an investigation when it's discovered that Calvin did not commit suicide, but has been murdered. This is completely new for Lahnagan, as having to solve a homicide in the sleepy town of Gladston, Michigan is very rare.
The two stories ultimately collide, and by the end no one will be the same.

Creative Notes:I tacked on another ending. This is exactly the same as DRAFT 9, except for an additional 2 pages at the end, for a different ending that throws the story into another light. It completely changes how one can view the story. I like the original ending, and think it works well on it's own. This new ending changes the script completely, so much so, that I consider this version more sci-fi. -

More streamlining. Managed to reduce the page number from 118 to 103.
The beginning gets rolling quicker.
Toned down the love story to absolute zero.
Added a scene I had previously cut.
Different ending.
This version is definitely darker. Celeste comes across a tragic figure. -
