X-Men meets Lion King set in the world of birds. Two million years ago the ostrich was a flying bird, this is the story of a primitive ostrich named ORE, the first flightless bird and his evolution from an awkwardly humorous outcast to the fastest creature in the world.
Synopsis:
Avatar meets Lion King cast in the exotic world of birds. The story centers around the distant relative of the modern day ostrich, Ratites. Circa two million years ago, the Ratite species is evolving, but into what? Evolution is a slow and gradual process, but it begins with one bird born different. A mutation.
Monaco flaunts the largest most powerful wings since the dinosaurs and colors on his back that can be ruffled to hypnotize other animals. But seeming favorites are not without challengers. Cambrian is born of the Shrill, birds of prey with the ability to digest meat for energy. Gifted with a savagely over sized beak, Cambrian is the fight to Monaco's flight. But the Swan Witch says there are always three....
Born with two toes and awkwardly big thighs for a bird, ORE is an outcast to his flock. And that was before he passed the age of flight by five seasons... with out lift off. Ridiculed by his peers and cast aside by elders, he's loved only by his mother, Tangea, and his adopted brother, a fat, but gallant hummingbird named Rufus.
The adventure begins when Ore goes in search of a mysterious water walker named Demetri, that holds the key to unlocking his innate abilities. His evolution to becoming the fastest animal in Africa is helped and hindered by an eclectic ensemble of characters from a degenerate gambling rat, to a flying squirrel, a pirate captain goose, to a bird watching Gorilla, a chimp with an affinity for sticks, and a slug nerd, to poetic, but deadly scavenger dogs and more. But there are some things even the fastest animal in the world cannot out run.......
