The rise to power of the most notorious warlord of the late 20th Century: Arkan.
Synopsis:
Based on real events, Baby Face Tiger tells the story of Serbian Warlord Zeljko Raznatovic, aka Arkan.
The screenplay weaves together multiple aspects of Arkan's life in an attempt to explore and explain Arkan's legacy. A rapid combination of stories from Arkan's childhood, rise to power, and paramilitary activities are punctuated by a counterpoint set of stories from those trying to stop him. Action drives the script, and the viewer must actively participate to follow the story.
I did extensive research on the factual underpinning, and while of course this is a ficitonalized version constituting one view as to what might have happened, the major historical components are accurate.
