Creator: David A. Ullery
Age rating: Everyone
Mormon history tells of a hidden cave full of ancient religious writings and weapons. Many of the writings are on gold plates. Only rumors tell of the cave's existence and location. A young returned missionary seeks for it with a female friend, but evil men want it too.

Synopsis: An overzealous Mormon missionary loves archeology. He gets into trouble on his mission in Spanish-speaking central America snooping around Inca/Mayan/Aztec ruins. He seeks proof of the Book of Mormon for the world to see. One escapade almost gets him kicked off his mission.

Fastforward to a year or so after his mission.

Still overzealous he confronts some anti-mormon people at a relgious conference and gets booted out of that for standing up for the LDS church.

He then hooks up with another ex-missionary (a girl he likes) and together they seek out the supposed lost cave in Cumorah's hill in New York state. In its depths is suppose to be proof positive of the LDS claims of their Book of Mormon's origins and a lot of other gold scripture books and other writings, weapons and artifacts.

A greedy anti-moron gets wind of it and uses them to get there first and pillage the cave to further debunk the mormons. The race to the cave could cost them their lives. Is religious truth worth dying for in this age?

    Creative Notes:
There is an independent film market in the LDS (Mormon) community, but I want to reach a broader market. I had this idea kicking around in my head for a few years. It is based on Mormon folklore and urban legends. I think it is a fun little script full of religious ideals and faith mixed together with mysticism and reality.
