Synopsis: What would you do if your Bed suddenly started talking to you, and then came to life in the form of an inquisitive young girl?

That’s the chain of events that sparks this fantasy romantic comedy about a successful Broadway musical composer who is trying to come to grips with the hard core realities in his life: His wife has left him, and he lacks the inspiration to write a love song for his new musical that has an imminent deadline.

In the midst of his personal and professional crisis, his Bed begins a crusade to help him with his love life and career. In return, “she” wants to come to terms with her own identity, seeking answers to life’s biggest questions.

Carl has always maintained a simplistic world-view. His songs convey the fantasy of romance, but he doesn’t really believe in the concept. That is, until he meets quirky Marlene and they share an instant connection. Suddenly life is fresh and new, and he steps out of the box that was his life, basking in new found creative energy.

Inspired with new passion, he writes his new song and titles it: “Marlene”. His enthusiasm is short-lived however, when his wife Vicki returns from a trip of self-discovery and now seeks reconciliation. Carl must now balance three women in his life -- his wife, his new lover and his “Bed”, and somehow meet the deadline for his new musical production.

Complications occur when Vicki discovers he’s written the new song for another woman, and Marlene has news that forces her to make an important life decision of her own. In a climactic confrontation, the Bed becomes caught in the middle of a hysterical physical showdown between the two women, and Carl must now make a decision: Is he living in a fantasy world of misdirected romance?

Insightful probing from the Bed forces Carl to discover something he has known all along but has been denying to himself. In the penultimate scene, he finds himself at one last crossroad: a bittersweet choice that must be made to ultimately restore the balance and harmony in his life.
