My Girlfriend's A Puppet

Creator: Patrick Rieger
Genre: Comedy
Age rating: 13 and older
A comedy about a troubled entertainer in love with two women who are, in reality, puppets.
Project collaboration: Closed
Synopsis:
SETH is an entertainer who performs at birthday parties. His brother Tyler tries to set him up on a date, but due to their parents death our hero has trouble relating to real people.

After a disastrous blind date with ELIZABETH, Tyler tells Seth to get his act together or forget about their party business.

Then Seth meets SALLY, a puppet, who becomes a real woman in Seth's fantasy life. But even though it's all in Seth's mind, Sally is very independent and demands she be treated with respect.

After several days of interacting together Seth and Sally finally hit it off and decide to make their relationship public. So they set up a double date with Tyler and his fiance JEN. The result is a very confused group of friends with a growing concern for Seth's mental stability.

Things get worse when a BIKER steals Sally and Seth breaks down completely, unable to speak to anyone. Seth's friends ADAM and MIKE try to help by getting Seth a replacement puppet, MAGGIE, to fill in for Sally.

At first Seth rejects Maggie, but soon embraces her and the bad influence she has on him. Seth begins a heavy binge of drinking, smoking, and relations with his replacement puppet.

To save their wedding, Tyler and Jen stage an intervention for Seth. When that fails Adam and Mike steal Sally back from the Biker.

That's when things get out of control. Sally is introduced to Maggie, and both women (actually puppets) are furious at Seth!

The film ends with a wedding where Seth, Sally, and Maggie attend only to escalate tension to a level that snaps Seth out of his fantasy once and for all, and puts him back on the road to recovery.
