Alex is a sailor forced on board a navy ship. He arranges a mutiny and turns to piracy as his only chance to reach home. On his journey he captures a ship and makes new friends, always on the run from the Royal Navy.

During a battle against a pirate ship Alex leads a mutiny and captures the ship. He persuades the crew to join him as pirates.
After a short time at sea, Alex and his crew take their first prize, a slaving vessel. The freed slaves join the crew. Headstrong with his first capture, Alex tries to capture a treasure galleon. The galleon is a hard target and Alex must choose between the riches in the hold or the lives of his crew
This is a more historically accurate account of pirates than anything seen in movies. I always thought their true stories were more interesting than stories of dug up treasure.
