Grace, a teenager living with schizophrenia, can see things other people can't; the thoughts in her head seem to be real. But when she becomes the point in a love triangle between a figment of her imagination and a real boy, her sense of reality is tested.
Synopsis:Grace is fifteen and living a sheltered life. She is homeschooled, nurtured, and protected from everything; except her own mind. She was born with a rare case of hallucinatory schizophrenia, where she sees things that aren't really there. It never bothered her until now. Especially because she always had Caden, a figment of her imagination and her best friend. Slowly but surely, she finds herself falling for him and taking herself more out of the real world.
But then she meets Nick. Nick is normal and sweet and for some reason Grace can't figure out, totally in love with her. He's determined to 'fix her' so that she can see the world in the right way. Soon, Grace is torn between the make-believe world she grew up in, and the real world.
But Grace makes a decision. A decision based on the changing of her heart and the changing of both of her worlds. Caden is turning on her and she can't take the rejection from herself. She takes the meds she pushed away for fifteen years and submits to the harsh reality she was meant to live in.
