Summer of '74. When Twin Falls teenager, Kyle, learns his college fund has been blown by his father on a country club membership, Kyle sets out to earn the tuition he needs any way he can.
Kyle discovers what life is like on the wild side when Evel Knievel awards him a security job behind the scenes of his Snake River Canyon Jump.
Conflict between Kyle and his friends & family parallel the tensions between Knievel and the people of Twin Falls as the event expands beyond Woodstock proportions.
The night before the event, a riotous biker-gang threatens to destroy Knievel’s Skycycle, and Kyle must find a way to stop them in time.
Close friend, Kevin Schafer, was just a boy when his father, a Twin Falls Civil Engineer, was hired to design and build Knievel's Skycycle launch ramp. In researching this story, I returned to Twin Falls with Kevin, interviewed all the key players, gathered the stories of their life-altering sacrifices for their community and for Knievel's heroic and historic attempt to jump the Grand Canyon.
We even met with Knievel himself, who gave the story a, "thumbs-up."
