Blue Light
A young musician named Conroy Rex is found dead in a dark alley. His fellow band members are the prime suspects for the murder, however, the detective assigned to investigate the case finds a series of clues that guide him into a deeper mystery.

Synopsis:
A young musician named Conroy Rex is found dead in a dark alley. His fellow band members are the prime suspects for the murder, however, the detective assigned to investigate the case finds a series of clues that guide him into a deeper mystery.
When detective Jack Stevens interrogates the rest of the band we learn about their wild parties and that Conroy was about to sign a record deal with a major label and quit the band.
After a mysterious piece of paper is discovered in Conroy's pocket an FBI agent approaches detective Stevens with some shocking information. The paper sample is a new technology used to exchange classified data between top level officials around the world. Undercover agents' identities, financial and security secrets can be embedded in such paper and the data can only be unlocked with a device called "Blue Light". The agent suspects that someone with illegal access to a "Blue Light" device has been selling the information to terrorists and for financial gain.
Detective Stevens pairs up with a young recruit that is savvy about the local underground music scene. Together they start to dig around the local clubs and interviewing people until they find the connection between the dead musician, his record producer and US senator Montgomery Nortson, the person most likely to become the next president of the United States.

"Blue Light" is an original story written for Amazon's Studios' contests. I started the idea on December 9th after a long walk through the city. After a while I enterd a cafe, had cup of coffee, I took out my iPad and started to write. I finished on December 30th but I had some problems with the rtf format. I welcome feedback, criticism etc. J
