Violent criminals attack a seemingly helpless woman at a remote cabin in the woods, but the hunters become the prey when the woman turns out to be Possessed.
Synopsis:Holly Farrow is not feeling like herself these days. Maybe it’s because her husband, Malcolm, wrote a memoir full of lies. Or maybe it's something that's coming from inside of her, something insidious. Malcolm and Holly used to have a perfect, but now it's falling apart. Her strange behavior worsens, and one night she hurts her best friend Sam, and has no memory of it the following morning.
Holly thinks she’s losing her mind. As her behavior becomes more and more erratic, and Malcolm’s writing career completely falls apart, they leave the city behind and head to a cabin in the woods. They need a break. Some peace.
Meanwhile, Holly begins to suspect her current troubles stem from a horrific incident from her childhood, when she was nearly murdered inside a church.
At the cabin, Malcolm begins writing, and Holly's behavior starts to become dangerous. She begins to hurt herself, mutilating her body, as if she has no control of her actions.
In the surrounding woods, a young girl named Dakota runs from her mother’s drunken boyfriend, Jackson. Dakota’s mother, Alice, readies herself for work, while Jackson’s son, Christian, and his girlfriend, Monica, drink. Alice and Monica argue. Jackson returns to find Alice dead, lying in a pool of blood. Monica stabbed her in the gut. They decide to bury the body behind the cabin.
Holly calls Sam and says, “I think I’m going to die.” Later, Sam listens to the message and decides to drive to the cabin. In the morning, Malcolm wakes to find Holly standing atop him on the bed. She giggles, then hurts him badly. Holly jumps to the floor and scurries like a cockroach under the bed. The bed shoots up to the ceiling, knocking Malcolm unconscious. Through the window, Dakota witnesses everything.
She knows that Holly is possessed.
Dakota runs home and notices some loose dirt. She digs and uncovers a hand. Her dead mother’s hand. Jackson sees Dakota, and chases her through the woods.
Malcolm finds his wife cowering in the corner; sewn into her arm, with black thread: Help Me! Dakota runs into the cabin, crying for help. There’s a knock on the door. She begs Malcolm not to answer. He does. Jackson blows his brains out. Dakota runs into the bedroom and hides. Jackson, Monica and Christian quickly take over the Farrows’ cabin. They tie Holly to the bed.
But Holly is no longer in control. The demon inside her is now in charge.
Holly toys with Jackson, Monica and Christian. No one can escape the cabin. One by one, Holly kills Jackson, Monica and Christian, taking pleasure in torturing the intruders. Then it’s just Holly and Dakota. A demon versus a little girl.
Dakota finds Malcolm’s laptop and Googles "Demonic Possession.” She hammers together a makeshift wooden cross, finds a bible, then heads into the bedroom. The Exorcism begins...
