The tragically frustrated life of a camera shop owner is falling apart as he becomes destructively obssessed with fixing a camcorder, all seen through the 'eye' of the broken camera.
Synopsis:This story is about a camera. The camera is a digital-video camcorder, and it is broken. It turns on and off randomly. When the camera is on, it is automatically in record mode.
The camera is our narrator; our “eye” into the story. All events are seen from the perspective of the camera-- whenever the camera happens to turn on. The events of the story take place around our main character, William.
William owns a camera shop. He buys and sells new and used equipment. Will is a descent man and knows his business, but he is not a businessman. His dream was to enter the film and television industry after film school, but his life took another path: he married young, opened the shop to pay the bills, and settled into the daily grind of the workweek.
As recent events threaten his marriage, friendships, lively-hood and his dreams, Will becomes obsessed with trying to fix this broken camera. How much will he sacrifice at the hands of this obsession? How much of the story will we really see, and what we do see... is it the real story?
