A young woman Leona is pregnant and living with an abusive and violent husband. Not only her life is at risk but the life of her unborn child also. Will she wake up and free herself from this pain?
Synopsis:Leona lives in terror from her drunken,violent and abusive husband Kurt. She is pregnant and shown no sympathy at all. Leona wants to have a healthy baby and enlists in the services of her older sister who can clearly see something is not right in the relationship with Kurt. Leona is in denial when her sister asks her about the beatings. It's when Kurt puts his hands on her sister Leona realises that if she doesn't do something and fast there just may not be a baby.
This is a revised draft from a short film I wrote titled The Delivery. I felt that Leona's story needed more drama. Adding her abusive husband and smarter older sister helps to create much more conflict.
