I read The Way of a Warrior first, because it had made it all the way to a semi finalist, and I knew the reputation of Emil B. as a foremost Nigeria based screenwriter.
The story recreates the world of an advanced civilisation in love with a medieval Roman day-like civilisation. In this world the Paladin caste are samurai-like warriors with a code of honour that is infuriatingly naïve if u ask me. As such I was very glad when our young hero strikes out for revenge with his crew of deviant Kick-assers!(that's Paladin speak for Bad guys). And boy, did they bring it on!
I found this script fast paced, the dialogue is on point and the characters are very believable. But I was expecting a love angle built up between our hero and Atalanta (this in my estimation will add emotional value) and I bet she also was expecting a kiss atleast ...
All together, Emil B has penned a cool masterpiece and I am not surprised the script has done so well in the premise battle field.
Good luck Paladins. Hope you guys make it to the box office!
