I'm sorry, but facebook is the thing that's dead, and with that, a movie whose basis is facebook is dead as dirt.

The major question asked when requesting this review is “Would you pay to go see the movie in the theater?” For me, the answer is “no.”

Having said this, there would be those that would. The story is interesting, there is a bit of humor and romance in the plot. My concern is the potential rating of the movie - at the very least it a PG-13, and possibly a rating of R. The R rating may be generated by the adult themes of the movie, adult activity in some scenes, and drug abuse. My own personal practice is to not see R rated movies and to use considerable care when a movie is rated PG-13. This movie, even with its interesting plot, humor, and romance, would not climb to the level of a “must see.”

Having said that, I found the “geekiness” of the movie, with its integrated use of Facebook, e-mail, and cell phone technology, would draw many to the theater. The 98 minute running time may be a bit long for some - but it is not obtrusive.

As indicated above, parents may want to use a bit of caution before they allow their children to view this movie. I am a bit surprised that Amazon had not posted their own cautionary message on movies they are producing. It would seem to be expected from a service that is used by people of all ages and backgrounds.

The bottom line - I am giving this movie 3-stars, but I would not choose to attend a screening in my local theater given the information I have now that I have seen the film.

One of my friend was an extra in your movie in the club scene. It was Edward Joyce "Gary". So I decided to watch it. This was very well done. Needs more editing though to make it perfect and make it ready for the big screen in the movie theaters. The computers graphics was just ok. But I realized that you guys are probably still in school learning about film making. I am sure once he get better at it, the computer graphics will be perfect. I give it thumbs up and I hope to see it in the movie theaters across the USA.

The acting is really good and the dialog was well done as well. Music use was really good. The humor is hit and miss, but there were definitely some funny scenes.

The biggest problem I had was that it just lost me after about 15 minutes and dragged in parts. I think this had more to do with the premise than anything. Still...I did watch the whole thing so I could post an informed review.

It reminded me of the movie Catfish. An awful lot like Catfish actually. Facebook friend (real or not?), road trip to meet them without them knowing, show up unannounced, twist ending etc. Obviously differences, but the premise seems an awful lot like it's been done already.

The premise is a good one, but there were WAY too many references to people being so mobile/social dependent. People will get the concept without being slammed in the face with it so many times. If one or two of the characters was like this then it might make it more enjoyable. Also, the dialogue was very stereo-typed, especially with the rap/gangsta angle. Every time those terms and characters were introduced, it made me cringe. It might be more interesting to have Owen think that the rap mogul has done something to her, with inferences being made from location to location that makes the group come to the wrong conclusions, only to find Jessica fine but needing help with the babies/orphans/house payment/whatever.

Acting was so-so. The most enjoyable character for me was Jeff Pants. Though overacted, at least the actor seemed to be enjoying the role. The others were predictable and overacted in a bad way.

The road trip also needs to be cut down a lot. It's a six hour, not several days drive.

With some fairly heavy script modification, some new actors, and a machete taken to the stereotypes, this might be a decent movie.

Keep the title, though. It's one of the best things going for the movie.

Great Characters, Entertaining Plot, Good Direction.

I'm not a movie critic, and I'm not usually harsh on movies (except Funny People and Indiana Jones 4). It's easy for a movie to entertain me. Given this information, please understand that I thought this was terrible. I feel bad for bursting any bubbles, but it flat sucks. :( the combination of people who made this had two parts that were promising: ability to view the world through modern isolationism and relay those relevent feelings of the main character, and the intro and closing of following correspondence online. I like the way you filmed that.

On a side note, you need to be more innovative. This feels like attempting to redo tactics used in Social Network, but failed at coming even close. Try again with a plot and charactars with deeper emotions and meaning. Look to movies like Funny Games (2008 version) to pull emotional inspiration from. Not Harold and Kumar.

There were many parts of this movie that didn't make sense because they were unrealistic. How do Pants and Mobu find Owen's home? How does Pants get into Owen's home? Are they using 5G connection in the car? Their connection was way too fast. It would have made sense if Rishi did something too them, but normals phones don't go that fast on 3 or 4G. There will never be a day care center in a coffee shop. Why does Pants know so much about Owen and how does he know things that wouldn't be on his page (favorite potato chips)? Owen having to go number two in the recording studio was pointless. Why they looking in a gay club for Jessica? Why not in an actual library? How does the bodyguard recognize Pants from READING his blog? The exploding car looked fake. Make the rooftop scene more dramatic. Add better music and make Pants say something actually deep. This was not a good film at all and I don't recommend it to anyone. If you want a movie about Facebook, watch The Social Network.

YOU MUST!!! is a MUST!!!

The writers of this film are very very talented, but failed to amuse me with any sort of worthy story. All this is awkward Superbad type humour, mixed together with bad characters and Facebook. The premise in this film is terrible, I would never see this film in the theatres, because it fails to draw any sort of interest out of me. To get the majority of film lovers to watch your film you have to create a certain level of escapism, this film couldn't find a crumb of it if it were trying to attract a pack of rats. In conclusion, A very well written and made film that has no reason to get made.
