I didn't watch all of it, because I want to experience the finished product unsullied. Iconic stories of good and evil in an adventure setting can't really go much past WWII as Spielberg said in Indiana Jones IV. Because once there are satellites.... So anything from this era, at the maximum power of the European continent, of propeller driven aircraft and seat-of-the-pants flying, has a purity of adventure and thrill that cop movies--the inheritor of the genre--can't afford. From what I saw the writer has his finger on the pulse of this era. Mash-up Sky Captain, Indiana Jones, Crimson Skies--this era and technology is ripe for characters, stories and fun. Make it and they will come. I'm dying to see how it turns out. I hop e that Lucas' "Red Tails" gives this market some boost.

The dialog needs help in the details. Watch the language from the era. Do some more specific research. "Give it up for...", "win-win" "_a_ coffee", "black" (refering to people who would be called "negro" or "colored" in the language of the day. I suggest reading some pulp from the period. Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain. Milton Caniff (Terry and the Pirates). Tropes of today originate in these eras and will resonate to younger ears. Trust it.

I enjoyed the movie so much - it had the flavor of the old saturday morning serial movies, but with more structure and a better premise.

I'd really like to see more realistic dialogue. As it is now, it seems very cliché. The story is already a bit fanciful, so it would be interesting to bring a strong sense of seriousness to really engage the more thoughtful audiences.

I'd also like to see stronger inward reflection in some of the more pessimistic characters. I understand that in it's current format, it could be difficult to portray moments of deep internal monologue to show conflicts within the characters and hope that the next or final iteration has those embellishments included.

Thank you for reading.

Watching the story board movie reminded me of old "Clutch Cargo" cartoons...I enjoyed the story and thought that a few of characters were great. I'd enjoy seeing the stunts in real life on film. Good luck.

Reminiscent of Indiana Jones and Sky Captain. With some refinement this could evolve into a successful movie.

Characters need refinement. Major Danger needs the most refinement, in the current version he is simply too arrogant and self-centered to be believable. Simply tone down that aspect of his character. Danger's rejection of military service due to his father's experience is believable.

The Nazis characterization is satisfactory. Having the African American cook transition into a war-fighter is good, consider expanding this concept to include other crew making a similar transition.

Today's audiences seek more technical and historic accuracy. This might be accomplished during the scenes where we are introduced to the Pirate Airship.

I recommend dropping explicit references to Atlantis and let the audience draw their own conclusions on the identity of the civilization who codified their technical knowledge on the gold tablets.

Codifying knowledge of nuclear fission using Hieroglyphics is implausible - have the Hieroglyphics act as metadata to decode digital data written at microscopic level. Similar to First Contact, but using optical phenomena rather than radio signals.

The ship's pirate logo is perfect.

I think the dialogue needs work. One technical flaw. The ocean refueling couldn't use 55 gallon drums. Submarine hatches are too small, and 55 gallons of gasoline would weigh 440 lbs. No one could lift them out of the sub. I did enjoy the show.

I like the premise. The story structure was good for it being a beta release. It was very entertaining and I watched it through without being distracted; the story held my attention. The characters were rather black and white; the emotions and dialogue quite predictable. It was entertaining, and that is what I watch movies for.

Thought that only some of the German biplanes should be shot down at first -- leaving some for another encounter for Jack later in the picture.

Mills storyline with natives was a great touch.

Overall, a great adventure story.

It has been a long time since a good ORIGINAL adventure film was made and this film has elements of what make a strong adventure movie. Unfortunately, the dialogue is TERRIBLE. Continue with the great storyline get a better script and this film could be a solid adventure movie akin to first "The Mummy" or "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow."

I really liked the story premise, kinda Indiana Jones meets tomb raider.
I truly hope Amazon peruses this idea, I really like it, action, multicultural and very cool story line.
I'm not going to over analyze a story board like movie, that wouldn't be fair.

I really enjoyed the story and the idea behind it. I must say there needs to be a little more development of the story structure and feel. There are parts that did great like the reason the military pilot could not fly while others just felt... well... in complete. Part of this was due to dialogue and character interactions while other parts were affected by the animation. It felt a bit like a kids movie but with adult content like people being shot with blood splatters.
A part I appreciated was the historical accuracy! I am a stickler about that. Little things like how the black crew member was treated and the BAR really made the story feel like thought was put into the story. Perhaps when the Nazi plane hit the trees it should not blow up (not really how it works in real life) but other than that, the ideas and depictions were on the most part real to life.
I really enjoy the result of the story. The fact that the bad guy gets away and they only get half of the information adds value to the story. Disney is nice, but the happy endings without a twist are getting old, which is kind of what many cartoons have been doing. Copying Disney that is. Something to consider to bring better emotion and realness to the story is to develop some of the characters that die a bit. That way instead of them being just another toy soldier down, you feel the shock that the main character feels when he sees them moving on like nothing happens. You feel your heart in you chest when the one marine is about to die and the pygmies and the black crew member save him. Things like that. It may be a bit of investment in time, but even 10 minutes will add greatly to that connection and the emotion.
Still, I must say, for a rough draft this is an awesome production. I look forward to seeing it in theaters!

With a look and feel reminiscent of the old Flash Gordon or Lone Ranger serials of the silver screen, “Sky Pirates, Gary’s Animatic” blasts its way onto your screen loaded with fun and adventure. One of the things I really loved about this movie was its character development. As the story moves along you really get to know the characters and understand their motivations, from the African-American Cook who just wants his chance to prove himself as a fighting man in an age of segregation, to the stories main hero who doesn’t want to give his life for his country the way his father did as a forgotten hero, he wants to make his mark in life while he’s young. The story has everything to appeal to a broad audience, action, romance, comedy, and intrigue. But like I said at the start all of this ties together well with the feel of one of the old time action serials that where showing in the movie houses. This one is fun for the whole family.

This is certainly going to need some work before it becomes a major movie, but then again that is what this is about right? As a rough sketch, I thought is was better than some of the recent movies I've paid to see. A previous reviewer had comments about it stealing from such films as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and The Mummy, but while those movies enjoy their status in modern film, they borrow heavily from the serials of the 40's and 50's. This film reminds me much of those serials that I have seen. Plus the last films in those series were on par with this one.

Overall I say, polish it up, cast it right and it may make it.

I thought it was pretty good. It kind of felt like a good Indiana Jones type type of film. I liked the action and the story, but I think the dialog for the cook could have been better. I would portray the cooks part of the story as something slightly more complex. For instance portraying him like a big tough cook that is tired of cooking for unappreciative flybys and keeps getting thrown in the brig for fights with the enlisted men. He's about to get kicked off the base when the general sees his value in the upcoming mission and is giving one last chance to redeem himself by serving his country in a dangerous mission.

I would totally see this! It encompasses everything a movie should be: Entertaining, with a touch of reality, and always more interesting when mixed with history, fictional or not. But please, in an actual production, veer away from bad accents, and for the love of god, please use natural hair colors....

Thanks and make it soon.

Sky Pirates is a nice work-in-progess. The title of the movie should be revised; as it is, it seems more uncomfortably dramatic. The dialogue was fair, although some grammatical errors were obvious, though they could work for a character. I would have like to see the relationship between Sarah and Jack develop more. They seemed to fall in love in a matter of days, and Sarah's change of emotion was rather sudden. The writers could have played up more the connection to their fathers' stories, etc. This was a problem I had with the movie, Thor, in which the leads fell in love too much too quickly.Additionally, althoughe idea of espionage and pirates was a draw-in, parts of the plot were reminiscent of ideas from the recent Captain America movie,, set in a similar time period after America "officially" joined the war, where a German Nazi leader was trying to obtain power from a mythical object that will help him rule the world. There could be a more unique aspect. I also liked the addition of the Pygmy's and the stereotypical "black sidekick", although, even though I understand it goes with the time period, it could raise controversy. It was nice that he gained respect. Overall I would have liked more backstory, but I understand that this is a rough draft, and it can still be developed. The idea of Atlantis.is also fascinating, and it seemed like there was a hint at a second movie to incorporate more of it, but it might be an idea to leave the viewed more interested in what the people of.Atlantis.left behind and get the first move rolling before making loans for another. It sparked my interest at.the mention of the Hindenburg sister ship, but it never went further than that. I liked Jack Danger, and I like that his dialogue was consistent. His role seemed the most thought-out. His emotions seemed to change rapidly even in serious situations, but they can be better conveyed with real actors, I'm sure. As for the side characters, the drunken pilot seemed typical, and I would have liked to have seen something trademark about him. The leader of the Marines was a bit confusing. Half the time I was not sure if he was going to betray the Americans or what. He seemed ambiguous to me. As far as historical content goes, according to other reviews there are discrepancies, and although I was ignorant of them myself it would raise the quality of the movie by a lot to be accurate in the nonfictional informations. Biggest weakness is the level of detail. It would have been much more satisfactory if it had been more developed. Strength of the film so far is, I would say, the concept; I was a little turned off by some things, but yet the story drew me in. I couldn't put my tablet down.

Thank you very much for the pleasurable movie, and I hope it's no trouble to put up with my random sequence flow (I typed it as I recalled it) and the extra commas and periods (my tablet wouldn't let me go back and delete them). I hope to see Amazon's Sky Pirates soar into local movie theaters everywhere.

I enjoyed the premise and could envision what the final product might be like. I think if this was worked into a real script with real actors it could be a lot of fun - but more along the lines of a made-for-tv movie than one I'd pay $$ to see in a theater.

There was a bit of Indiana Jones and a bit of a lot of old timey swashbucklers thrown all together - nothing new or exceptional but definitely fun.
