The premise for this movie - Nazi gold - has been around for a while and always seems to draw interest. This movie could go places. However, instead of making smart and going the way of the Bourne movies, this seems more like a crappy Matthew McConaughey movie that appeals to people who like The Fast and The Furious. You don't have to have tons of explosions and loose women to make people want to watch a movie. How about making it smarter, instead of dumber. While flashy things attract viewers at first, something more authentic will keep them coming back.

I think that with the right actors, and production, this could be a very successful film.

Alchemist Agenda is a great blending of action and spy-thriller storytelling, within minutes you know that you are on adrenalin roller coaster ride. At times the dialogue is a bit campy even vacuous (“…the American always breaks his record”), but the solid action and intriguing premise more than make up for those rough spots. I also understand that this is a storyboard draft, so dialogue can be improved. This is one that would definitely sell to adventure fans, it’s a keeper.

I have to give it up to Marty for writing such a professional script, and financing his own work by hiring the Hive to create such an awesome test movie. It was packed with action and adventure! I'm a fan of his work... and I can't wait to see more from Marty in the near future...

Good Luck!

Very good story but overly violent! Needs more thoughtfulness and analytic solution rather than my gun is bigger than your gun. Public shootouts unrealistic.

About as hackneyed as a story can get. Polynesian islands are not cliff islands. They're sand and coral.

People popping out of the water don't remain floating waist high.

Guy marking time underwater can't just sit on a rock or he'd bob to the surface.

As for the premise, OK, we get it. Sunken treasure, tough spot, only Dick Daring can get it. Will have near misses with sharks. Bad guys will try to gun him down. Virtue will triumph and everyone goes home rich. Yawn.

Totally hackneyed.

The movie was okay but to be honest, but had I paid $8 to go see it in the movies I would have been pretty disappointed. I think the most annoying thing was that everybody and their brother was shooting at the main characters in the story and yet they ALL missed....and yet he shoots and hits the bad guys on the first shot or two. The stereotypical Germans (all of them) were pretty shallow types too.

Lastly, some of the clues they used to get the keys were like "How the heck did they know WHERE to get the key".

It got a little cheesy toward the end with the vice president and his minions, but all in all, it was a good movie.

This is the first of these "test movies" I have watched, and that may have colored my perception somewhat.

***SPOILER ALERT***

The character of the professor/former Israeli army officer was intriguing, and I did think that casting Claudia Black in the role was very good. However, I would like to see her character fleshed out even more. It wasn't too hard to figure out that she is most likely Jewish, and yet I didn't see nearly enough attention given to how that entered into her motivations.

After spending a good part of the movie dealing with our main characters unraveling the mystery at the heart of the movie, it seemed like comparatively little time was actually devoted to overthrowing our villains. The confrontation between our hero and his former commanding officer, in particular, is something that could be stretched out with quite good effect. It would be nice if there were more than one actual fight scene.

Now, to my biggest problem with this movie. The comic book/storyboard-type animation was very difficult to watch, and poorly done (in my opinion). After a short time, I actually gave up watching the movie and focused instead on listening to it. If this was made into a live-action movie, then it might have more promise. But instead we see cut-out characters being repositioned around a static background without any apparent actual bodily movement. And then, in other scenes we see (for example) arms moving in a circular motion (sort of) while a character is swimming. To be more consistent, I would think it better to have the image of a swimmer carried across the background as is.

A live-action movie with this general story line would be much better if it were longer than 87 minutes. Relationships and action definitely need to be fleshed out. If so, this might make for an amusing flick to watch on cable or DVD, while I was doing something else. But pay today's movie prices to see it? Sorry, but no.
