Read it in one hit, wincing as I went. The script was very poorly researched. The way they talked was 19th cent and nowhere near 16th-17th cent. There was no Royal Army, we English didnt have anything you could call an army until the time of the English Civil War. We had Yeomen and Trained bands. The prime weapon of the time was the sword and buckle, cross bows, bows and arrows, there may have been a few "Matchlock" muskets around, these were fired by....fire! it was a lighted bit of rope that started the whole shot off and it took an age to reload and had to be rested on a stick to stop the man being pulled over. quicker to run in with a sword. Am going to rewrite this but only after having watch the DVD of, "Shakespeare In Love", Followed by a quick read of Arthur Millers, "The Crucible" to get nearer to the way they spoke in days of Good Queen Bess. Using yards and inches as I go instead of meters. (That was Napoleon) and mindful of the fact that If I said Jesus, Mary and Joesph, I would have been burnt at the stake for being a follower of the Pope. And not the true way. Counting my time by the sundial on the front of the church and the call of the nightwatch.
Other than that it was a ripping yarn

I really like how the movie is portrayed and how the characters work together to solve the mystery. Some scenes really jump out at you
