Touchy, touchy, touchy subject-- executed with ease. That is in my mind what creates a work of genius. Your reliance on the characters to exploit the story is profound and practical. You used these entities efficiently in order to bring emotion to the reader, and you did so with fashionable delicacy, by placing them in a relative subject matter. You created a story that cannot dodge recognition because of it's emotional worth.
Being a parent of a Down syndrome child. I found the subject matter to be haunting, but also disturbing, because what happen in Nazi Germany, was real and can't be repeated.
I found the premise to be excellent.
The story stucture was excellent. It was easy to read.
