Kid's Stuff can be described as a cross between Goonies, Monsters Inc and the lost boys of Peter Pan. The writer has successfully created a childhood action adventure that is far greater than the sum of it's inspired parts.

From a director view point, I see this film working wonderfully as either a live action or animated movie. Think Steven Spielberg's HOOK, as the direction for this film as a live action piece. And as an animated piece, Kid's Stuff deserves a Pixar level quality of artistry and style.

Over all this truly is a great script. I recommend it to anyone who is interest in a fast paced, wildly creative, light hearted adventure, that will remind you of all the imaginative glories that go along with being a kid.

This is truly an amazing story and brings your imagination back to life! This story recalls the happiest memories of childhood and reminds you of all the things you don't realize you even miss. There should be more movies like this out there and I hope Pixar picks this one up, it would be amazing on the big screen! Everyone should read this script! Talented writer and simply a wonderful read! I love it! :)

Henderson appreciates childhood. For instance, Kids' Stuff features one character's adolescence from the perspective that coming-of-age involves retracing certain youthful steps: a reflection, a realization. This character growth is similar to Henderson's own journey as a writer.

Henderson loves that youth participate in creative play. He loves to witness courage in choice making and the ideals of young friendships.

Although this story is designed for children, it touches upon many adult concepts - many of which we hope to pass amongst generations.

Loyalty in friendships. Self-motivated, sense of purpose. Humor. Acceptance of differences.

Henderson still needs to edit the middle and end of Kids' Stuff, due to small typos.

Interview with G. D. Henderson
Noble (general commentary):

It is clear between pages 1-5 that Nickelodeon would best fit this script because they focus on shapes and textures, besides colors.

Coming to mind: Spy Kids, The Famous Jet Jackson, Goosebumps, Lord of the Flies, Are you Afraid of the Dark?

The boys say, “stupid,” a lot. Is that a reaction to your observations of students?

I LOVE the Tristan-Wesley yo-yo scene! At this moment, I’m thinking, “Recruit.”

The Watchie-Talkies should be labeled so the audience understands the joke.

Page 18 – mocks the American Red Cross videos we had to watch during lifeguard training.

Does the Bogeyman also steal imagination?

I like the ambiguity of R and D – The audience does not know their real names, but does not feel that they have to. Plus, the use of initials likens them to spies.

Henderson: Thanks for the review and the words of encouragement. I’m sure most of these questions were rhetorical, but I'll try to answer a few anyway.

Noble: Did the Wizard of Oz influence Tyson’s “bad monkey” comment?

Henderson: Tyson's “bad monkey” comment was an homage to Bill Murray in Ghostbusters, who had a similar ridiculous insult.

Noble: You may need to explain the royal “we” to the audience.

Henderson: The royal "we" will likely only be understood by Big Lebowski fans and English majors, but I figured it to be a throw away line that will delight a few and be completely skipped over by most.

Noble: It’d be cool if the audience could see the Cooties that Julia transfers to Tyson. I LOVE the Cootie HAZMAT scene!

Henderson: I've fought with the cooties being visible thing...but I'm leaning toward keeping it ambiguous...do they really exist? Or, is Tyson's reaction just psychosomatic.

Noble: It’d be comical if the IFF squads go to the “debriefing room,” but have no consistent idea of the definition of “debriefing.”

Henderson: I like the “no idea what debriefing is” idea.

Noble: Is Mr. Dogie pronounced with a long O? Doggie? Dojie?

Henderson: Dogie is pronounced DOH-gee, a bastardization of what he hears when the little boy says, "Good Doggie."

Noble (questions about age appropriate dialogue of characters):
Page 15. Tristan’s sarcastic comment at age 6 sounds like six-year olds understand sarcasm, so why are we always told as educators that they do not?

How does Tristan know what rent is? Do his parents rent the house?
How does he know the line, “If I tell you, I’ll have to kill you”?

How does Melanie know what “gripping intellectual discourse” is?

Henderson: I tend to make the kids a lot smarter, snarkier, and more in-the-know than most kids their age. That's just a callback to how I remember kid characters in movies [like The Goonies, Monster Squad, Lil' Monsters, The Explorers and such] behaving when I was growing up. I find that kids don't notice and adults enjoy the dialogue more. Besides, I'm always a little blown away by what some kids know or pick up.

I like the originality of the plot. Can't think of any other story that comes even close to paralleling this one. I think, if done right, kids will love it.

The writer dives right into the story which might help a child's limited attention span. Yet characters introduced, with a bit of mystery, are still developed thoroughly. I love how he uses kid terminology well, and keeps adults out of it without making them the enemy. I get excited to see how everyone interacts with each other, how he works out appropriate issues between them, and doesn't leave out any personality type. It's important for kids to feel like they too can be tough and make a difference whether or not they have ships and gadgets. They can make their own!
