The only way you could write this script is by living in the real world as a true geek/nerd! Which is awesome!

You open with a former super-villain applying to work at a Taco Bell. That's funny. And then he's murdered. Okay, so far so good. And then this Shepherd guy meets someone with super-powers and gives them a business card. And he does it again and again and again.
You need to let us know what's going on. Who is Shepherd? What's he up to? Is he putting a team together? Why is he putting a team together? Why now? Why did super-villains quit robbing banks? Did all the super-heroes quit? What's going on?
It's not a good idea to be so mysterious at this stage in the screenplay. At this stage, you want us to care. You want to engage us and motivate us to keep reading. Watch Ocean's 11 again. We know why Danny Ocean is putting his team together. His actions are motivated. We're not confused. We're following along and we're interested.
I don't know what's going on. And then you compound the confusion by sending us into a flashback. You have to be careful when introducing large numbers of people. You have to be careful with flashbacks. It's a muddle. A super-hero murders a President. Okay, why? What does this have to do with the murder of a former super-villain? And what does that have to do with Shepherd putting a team together? And what does that have to do with all the heroes and villains disappearing?
And then we're back to Patriot Lad. I have no idea if he's a good guy or a bad guy. Is he a part of the team Shepherd is putting together? He didn't get a card. Why am I seeing this guy?
Super-hero movies are so basic. Good guys try to stop bad guys. Right now yours is confusing and kinda exhausting. Simplify!
