Lost in the world

Simply, I liked it.
Here are my thoughts:

- The characters are very well portrayed.
- I loved Bee's character very much. She has been through many tough situations, but her acts always reflected a twelve year old girl. I never said: come on, a 12 year old girl can never act or speak like this!
- The dialogue was good, but I got the feeling that it was... umm... lengthy? Just in some parts.
- When I downloaded this, I wasn't expecting a comedy. But yes, it made me laugh many times.
- Spoiler: My favorite scene: At the end, when Bee put the two enemies together in the secret room.
- I liked it VERY MUCH when you described the battle took place in the farm only by sounds. Because the story is about Bee and how she reacts, we absolutely didn't need to see some soldiers fighting, that's why I believe you didn't put it there. Well done.

I know that you expect to hear some weaknesses, so, I'm giving you some ;)
- The scenes where Bee was on the ships, she writes on her diary a lot. Well, I agree that a preteen girl would absolutely fail to find something more interesting to do on a ship in the middle of the nowhere, but yet you can't start every scene with her reading or writing on her diary. Elaborate.
- The tempo was kinda... slow, especially at the early scenes. If you can make it faster, it would be better.
- Again, many scenes seem to be repeating themselves, especially the ships scenes and the kitchen scenes between Bee and the others. Again, elaborate.
- Some dialogue lines didn't sound right to me, is it because they are using the english used back then?
- Finally, you may want to end your script with "FADE OUT" instead of the end :P

Final word: Good work, I enjoyed. Just... increase the tempo, fix the similar scenes, and use easier words while writing the descriptions.
I hope you found it useful.

There was a time when Hollywood made movies about more than romance, aliens, cops, horror and spies. There were westerns and historical films of all kinds and of all ages. There were juveniles and women's matinees and all manner of subject matter was considered good ground for story-telling. I miss the really good swashbucklers like Prince of Foxes or Captain Blood, or the pre-west movies like The Big Sky and Drums Along the Mohawk. It's generally thought that Americans don't know anything about history, so why make historical movies? It's a faulty premise.

Back during the Golden Age of Hollywood, 20th-Century Fox or MGM would have made The Lucky Sixpence. It might have starred Shirley Temple or one of the other prominent juvenile leads. Today, traditional Hollywood won't look twice at this story of Revolutionary America and one girl's contribution not only to the war effort, but about her character, too. But there may be a market for The Lucky Sixpence -- animated films, or the family film divisions of the major studios. As I read it I could readily see it as an animated movie. The fact that it is based on a novel adds to its patina as well.

The story is well told if a little (accurately) dated. It will challenge the young filmgoers of today to adapt to the language and the manners of a bygone era. Still, it's a tale well told and even though the market is challenging, the tale is satisfying and fun. It reminds me of Wee Willy Winkie and The Littlest Colonel. Well done and good luck!
