The storyline was really interesting and i became quite impatient to know the ending. The only flaw I found was the number of flashbacks that occured. With better camera and sound equipment I think Mr Moore could come up with an award winning film in the future.

The storyline kept me interested and was quite thought provoking .I enjoyed the humour and beauty that surfaced . I especially appreciate that local enthusiastic creative peeps have dived in and worked together to create Localilly - I love that .
I was most impressed with the time machine and the music .
A fantastic first film - I'm looking forward to seeing more where this came from .

The film starts with the appearance of a a Victorian woman who has somehow apeared in the 21st century Adopted by Mark who finds her dazed and confused outside a supermarket she goes through a transformative experience dealing with her disorientation at the sudden and overwhelming time shift which includes riding in a car, having a shower, playing computer games and watching mindless TV shows whilst stuffing her face with Ferrero Rochers. Things between her and Mark hover on the fringes of romance but a date for Lily and the weirdness of temporal shenannigans put paid to that .
Its not a fast action packed film and it doesn't probe the murkiest depths of human angst but it is a gentle paced and soothing tale. It distinguishes itself by a certain note of restraint and a quietness that is becoming and strangely relaxing. The actors do well to convey the feelings of their characters and the story was engaging and clear. At times there was perhaps a feeling that somes scenes could still be briefer with shorter shots. It would also be nice to see some more varied camera work Ie: tracking shots hand held shots etc. Also I did'nt like the shots where there were signs prominent in the background. They felt incongruous.
It's obviously not an easy task making a film on a low budget and learning on the job, yet the film does hold its own. I liked the feeling of quotidian ordinariness it projects despite the Time Travelling theme and would love to see that developed further. I thought the film had a lyrical quality at times and genuinely tries to look into the responses of Lily as she deals with her leap through time. I think there was a vein of potential drama in her relationship to Mark but I kind of liked the way it remained unmined and it was the contrast between the oddness of the plot with the normality of the setting and the quiet way the story unfolded that I enjoyed most.

The first part of the movie was more enjoyable and intriguing for me than the latter half with the best of shots, angles and composition at work.

I liked certain aspects, suchas the reference to being a butterfly dreaming, pinned through her chest and unable to move and then the humourous idea of playing 21st century games from a victorian point of view. The use of mirror imaging aided the idea of duality and split time/place/identity into fragments. The time machine itself looked great and i would have loved to see more of it, although I appreciate that special effects are not cheap, but I can see how well it would work. The music worked for me without impinging on the story or visual, setting a particular mood.

The other time travellers appeared too vague in their purpose, apart from being on the run, and their connnection to Lily was uncertain, perhaps some firming up there, perhaps, maybe I missed something there. The dialogue about love near the end seemed very nonchalant.

The movie's concept as a whole is great, further development would not be wasted and as raw talent, a
very worthy work.

A bit of tidying up here and there. Love the light and the general feel of the film. Great idea to do a story from past to present and it's portrayed well within the dream-like sequences and the music. Flickers of memories darting in and out here and there. Love that it is locally made with local based people. Love the end credits and the soundtrack :)
Would love to know what the 2 girls are doing with all the junk bits they are collecting.

The dreamy quality is maintained well throughout the film and this is very appealing. Exterior scenes are lovely...a wonderful sense of place is established and maintained. The lead does a very convincing job of 'her' era and does so consistently, especially as she first enters into the 21st C. The transition into her fully adapting via playing the video game herself was not as convincing...I think she would not have adapted as well as she did, though the freedom issues were obviously critical. Her initial disgust of the video games was well done and perhaps she could have 'taken to' something other than video games? But there's also humor in that. Other characters were interesting but I felt they were not clearly delineated, though that added to the dreamy quality. I wanted to know more about the 'doubles', what affect they did or didn't have upon the story line...perhaps more parallels between eras? The love angle needed to be more convincing because it seemed more affectionate than romantic. So I didn't feel his loss (when Lilly has a date) because I wasn't convinced he had really cared for Lilly romantically enough to warrant his saddness. And I didn't get the sense that she was in fact that much older than he was. I also wanted to know more about the very knowing looks between Lilly and the handsome man at the station...good tension there.

Very good job of music throughout. It always complemented and never detracted. I also liked the filming, especially the angles of perspective, though some of the interior scenes were hard to see. Some of the shots of Lilly's memory struggles early on suggested more horror and fear than we later learn she had actually experienced...I think I wanted to know more about what had been so disturbing to her. This might have given more tension/interest to the appearance of the two men who also traveled to the 21st C...somehow I wanted to connect the doubles more than they were in the end, though I also liked the mysterious quality to them.

I would strongly recommend pursuing this film. It has a strong premise that would appeal to diverse audiences. It is lovely, dreamy and mysterious and I would really like to see it fully realized.
