I decided to do a review of the first five pages of all the scripts, and come back to the script and do a full review if the first five pages made me want to read it. I decided to start with the scripts that had not already received some reviews.
I read the original script and the Amazon Studio Story Department notes and am using my personal interpretation of what they intended only.
Pros: Tight, visual writing style, authentic sounding period dialog, characters with real personality, sexual tension
Cons: There's a bit of action and blood shed, but is it enough for a zombie movie?
Rewrite wise -
Pros: Seems to fit the basics of what was requested in story notes. A new villain, an apparent supernatural origin of zombies, really fits a lot in first five pages. TITUS ON THE FIRST PAGE! Humor with the character of Arrias.
Cons: Maybe too soft a start for Titus? But I'm hooked on the human interest and emotional tie between he and the female... a plus to add the female audience if it doesn't fall down action wise and turn into a romance novel.
