More About Me
2013 April 22: Happy Earth Day! News: I started using my stepdad's name, Chan, to honor him for being the best person I've ever known and making it possible for me to be the nice, happy, hard-working person I am today.
2007: Letter of Recommendation from UCLA Screenwriting Chairman, Professor Richard Walter, closing statement "I promise you'll agree that Carma is a writer worth reading." He wrote of my first screenplay, a scifi family adventure called SAARDU, "Worthy of consideration at the highest levels of the industry." So far no one in the industry has the money to make it or is willing to take the risk with others' money, so I still own all the rights. Someday my son will be rich, I have no doubt my hard work will pay off!
An abstract thinker and hopeful romantic, I am philosophical, occasionally dark and often whimsical. Fellow writers and readers tell me that my greatest strength is imagination. My stories consistently get high scores for originality, dialogue, plot and plausibility. My style is lean and sly. Although I fell in love with the art and craft of screenwriting, for the past couple of years I have focused on writing for e-readers and publish a variety of short stories and novels on Amazon and Smashwords. I am a Producer, Co-writer, and Foley Artist on the Cerebus film project, which is in post development, almost ready for rendering (animators understand) and we have every reason to anticipate a fantastic distribution deal when its ready for theatrical release.
