More About Me
I am a 24 year old screenwriting fellow at the American Film Institute. I believe films should have a dream-like quality, whether it's drama or comedy. I like gray areas in film, the ramp ups in between the emotional high points.
I'm from Ventura, California, a small town on the coast of Southern California just below Santa Barbara. It's the most cinematic place I know. Just walking down main street to drop something in the mailbox makes me feel like I'm in a movie.
I solidly believe in new media. I have written three web series scripts and the prospect of amazon studios excites me tremendously. I think fantastic stories can be displayed over the internet and not lose sight of great economical story telling. Web content is still in the wilderness, but I think we're about to enter a golden era any time now... maybe with some of my material.
My main inspiration comes from nature, so living in Los Angeles is a daily battle.
I have written three feature length screenplays and many shorts. Here is a list of my work that has garnered awards & recognitions.
