A Berat

Another good script from Scott. All the components - premise, story, characters, emotion - combined to create a thoroughly enjoyable read. Personally, I feel the theme of loneliness and isolation could have been developed more, to really lift the script and add to the emotional impact.

Matthew is obviously an experienced writer. Hide is written well and has at its centre an original idea, which is a fresh take on serial killers. As this is a first draft, there are a few areas that work on:

- The protagonist could be developed more. Everything hinges on his outlook and so could be used to really draw the viewer in.

- The scene actions could be trimmed - they are too wordy.

- Despite the flashbacks, the narrative structure was too linear. I think you could really experiment with narrative flow to compliment the big twist.

- The vigilante serial killer theme could be given more prominence in the script. It could be more of a point of discussion and conflict between the main characters.

Generally, this is a good script that I read to the end, but didn't quite deliver on the potential of the premise.

I enjoyed reading Pack Behaviour. And in a very short time I had finished it - the pages flew by.
