I didn't watch all of it, because I want to experience the finished product unsullied. Iconic stories of good and evil in an adventure setting can't really go much past WWII as Spielberg said in Indiana Jones IV. Because once there are satellites.... So anything from this era, at the maximum power of the European continent, of propeller driven aircraft and seat-of-the-pants flying, has a purity of adventure and thrill that cop movies--the inheritor of the genre--can't afford. From what I saw the writer has his finger on the pulse of this era. Mash-up Sky Captain, Indiana Jones, Crimson Skies--this era and technology is ripe for characters, stories and fun. Make it and they will come. I'm dying to see how it turns out. I hop e that Lucas' "Red Tails" gives this market some boost.

The dialog needs help in the details. Watch the language from the era. Do some more specific research. "Give it up for...", "win-win" "_a_ coffee", "black" (refering to people who would be called "negro" or "colored" in the language of the day. I suggest reading some pulp from the period. Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain. Milton Caniff (Terry and the Pirates). Tropes of today originate in these eras and will resonate to younger ears. Trust it.
