More About Me

I enjoy Medieval studies and Mythology.
I am a bibliophile and videophile (I'm addicted to books and movies) and love a well-drafted script. Comedy, romance, drama, fantasy, scifi, and suspense are my preferences. Not a real fan of horror. I love and enjoy Disney, Pixar, and other animated films, but hate the way Disney has twisted some of my favorite Grimms (eg. Tangled). They are good movies, but not solidly recognizable to the base story. I am not allowed to read the book a movie is based on for minimum one year before seeing the movie if I want anyone to see it with me, and no one will watch a medieval- or mythology-based movie with me until I've already watched it by myself. Not since "Troy", anyway.

Loved it. I feel it is very close to finished. It's a little slow in the beginning, could use a bit of work on dialog. Needs some background music- for instance some suspenseful music near the end when they are climbing the stairs with their weapons. It rarely gets noticed until its missing, but it is amazing how much it adds to a movie. It helps set the mood and the scene. Find a little room in the budget for a better looking car explosion at The Library Bar.
Can't wait to see the fully finished product in the theatre!

The 12 Princesses is one of my favorite fairy tales. So is Rapunzel, but not the way Disney did it. I feel that your storyline strays a little too far from the adventure and suspense of the original story. There is very little risk for the reward in this movie. Now, it may be fine if you are trying strictly for the under 6yr old market, but this fairy tale deserves better. What happened to the invisible cloak? The lines of men vying for the chance to win a princess's hand by discovering their secret? I like your idea to bring the faries and the romance in it. Heck, I even like the the crazy king. But the storyline needs to go back to the boards.
A little more story and a little less song will improve it, not detract from it.
