More About Me

Hey there, greetings from India!

I've been writing screenplays as a ghostwriter for Direct-to-DVD films made in the US. Living so far from Hollywood makes it almost impossible for me to pitch my scripts to agents, managers or production houses. But hey, I write all the same. In this age of sequels, prequels and movies based on best selling novels, it is difficult to sell a spec and double difficult for someone in my position. But still I write them. I don't know if I'll ever sell a script but I love to write. So here I am.

There is a huge film industry in India but somehow, I find it even more difficult to write for movies here simply because there is no system to show how to proceed. It like a closed and heavily guarded fortress and I still don't know how to enter.

I love to write horror, paranormal/supernatural, thrillers and fantasy. I'm not at all good with romantic comedies. I learned script writing mostly by reading scripts, Syd Field and Blake Snyder. For writing, I use Final Draft and sometimes CeltX. Two years back, when I couldn't afford a computer, I used to write on paper and then type the whole thing in a cyber cafe. Now I have a laptop so it is not that tiring anymore.

Did I mention that I absolutely love to read fiction and watch movies? But that is expected, I guess.

Well, time to get back to writing. Cheers!

This is an excellent script in the genre of Horredy (Horror-Comedy) and a fitting tribute to the master screenwriter who goes by many names. Since it is open to collab, I hope that the future contributors will remember to use a comma after 'as' and won't differentiate between mines, mine's and mine. These are very important.

That this script would get an Oscar is a forgone conclusion as the prequel is a masterpeace (see, I treat peace and piece the same).

Can't wait for the next sequel.

First of all, five stars for a great premise.

Good opening. I finished reading the script in one sitting. It is a clean and easy read. Some minor typos but I don't care if the story keeps me hooked. And it did.

Hammett's character needs some work. Would have been more interesting if there was a love interest or someone he deeply cared for in the colony. I also agree that a subplot here would immensely help.

The temple, the statue and the being that killed the greedy - well, though everything was clear, a bit more elaboration on them would have been nice. The current setup is fine but something is lacking.

All in all, I would definitely like to see this on the development slate and as a movie in the future. Once again, great premise. Just need some work to take it to the next level.

Cheers :)
