About

Lori Smiskol is an original screen play writer who has completed her feature script
"Aztlan, The Awakening". It's a Sci-Fi Fantasy, Suspense, Thriller time travel tale with a destined love story. It's similar to the vein of The Matrix and has the visual appeal of Avatar. She is now currently working on the Sci fi adventure novel that will accompany it. She has also completed her first short "Poseidon's Promise" a time travel romantic comedy like "Splash" with a whole new twist. She is also working on her third script "Lost Within Lives." A trilogy of past lives and how they are interrelated, based on a true story. A story where truth is stranger than fiction. She has also exemplified the entrepreneurial spirit for the past seventeen years and is co-owner of JLS Designs a museum jewelry company in Granbury, Texas.

Lori is also a member of the Dallas Screenwriting Assn. and has participated in their monthly scene reading with her screen play Aztlan, The Awakening, where the other screen writers, producers, and especially the actors have given her praise for her fantastical world and intriguing story.

Many independent producers have said they see her story as a block buster film with its originality, and fantastical world with a profound message that will effect and transform your thinking. It is a movie that will effect change. She believes they have been waiting to find this project that will help transform the world and how we perceive it and want to be a part of the awakening. One of her writing friends has described it as "Avatar on steroids" with a story that will shake you to your core and change your perceptions. On the vein of The Matrix with the visual fantastical world of Avatar.

She also grew up having a fascination of Atlantis and wrote a paper in grade school on the Bermuda Triangle. Little did she know that this would all be a part of her future film Destination Aztlan, The Awakening, one day.

In 1980 Lori obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. There she studied marketing, merchandising and communications and upon graduation she completed an extensive internship with a local business where she honed her business and management skills. Lori continued working in sales and marketing until 1995 when they transformed their fledgling business into the national wholesale jewelry distributor that it is today.

Lori also served as an area director for two years and is a current member of CEO Space, a business development club, where she encourages others to go for their dreams no matter what obstacles they encounter.

Lori began writing her first screen play "The untold story of Atlantis"(working title)over twenty years ago and then nothing came after the first act until four years ago when the rest of the screen play flowed to her like the deluge of Atlantis. She knew then it was time to share this important transformational story with the world.

Lori traveled to Egypt in 2008 in order to further her research for her screenplays. There she studied with Egyptologists, explored sacred ancient temples, pyramids and counseled with the temple guardians. This has added to her knowledge of the Egyptian Mysteries which is brought to life in her story and the purpose to awaken humanity with an entertaining film that will profoundly effect all those who view it. This story is universal, for all ages.

She is currently waiting for her dream team. Thank you for your consideration.

I love the original concept. Reminds me of a Robert Rodriguez Spy Kids film. Looks like an intriguing adventure Super Hero film. I look forward to your progress and seeing it made!
