More About Me
I've been around for a while, I moved to Alaska from L.A. back in the 80's but kept on writing. I have done a lot of things in my life time and have no regrets to speak of, or want to speak of that is. I love the art of writing and feel blessed to be a writer. I have written for magazines, sold many a magazine article, in fact that was my first paying gig as a writer and through the years it saw me through some hard times, but I never liked writing magazine articles, I could never get my heart into it. My first love, since 1977 the day I walked through the theater door and saw Star Wars was writing screenplays, and it still is. I have dabbled in writing novels and still do, it's a lot of fun (hard work) but fun because of the lack of rules compared to screenwriting. I love screenplays and love to talk with screenwriters everywhere.
I do consider myself a professional screenwriter, Personally I have written 23 feature length screenplays and several shorts, 4 of those features are Animations. I even took a dive into becoming an author and cranked out three novel length fiction manuscripts that I have not tried to market yet.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to read for a small up coming boutique agency (I don't know if they made it or not). I worked for them for about a year, reading screenplays and providing coverage I learned a lot from the experience. During my time with them I provided coverage on over 200 screenplays.
Since then I have optioned a couple of screenplays and I just had my Feature Animation "The King of The North" translated into Chinese and Robert Cain is presenting it to some Chinese film companies that have expressed a strong interest in the property. Fingers crossed we will make a sale in a short time.
I am currently working on a new novel and half way through the adaption screenplay of that novel, It is an absolutely unique story, and I am pretty sure it will get a lot of interest when it is finished. As for my personality; I get along with everyone always, and I am just one of those writers that has to be reading and writing all the time to be happy.
